I started my run with a couple of laps of a circular run which I see a lot of runners use. Being a circular run you can join this route where ever you like. I decided to time my second lap of the course which I have measured on mapmyrun as being 2.21 miles. I ran a slow 18.33 for the run which is 8.24 pace. I felt slow and I was . It is a fairly hilly run up Vinery Road and Hardwick Lane is fairly undulating. But no it was a slow run but at least it gives me something to beat next time.
After this I had a run besides the River Lark and into the Abbey Gardens
Ah, running by the River Lark. That takes me back to my cross country days at St James Middle School. SHUDDER!!
ReplyDeleteIn honour of yet more very nice photos, you've been awarded the Nice Matters award...See: http://21stcenturymummy.blogspot.com/2007/08/in-praise-of-nice.html
ReplyDeleteI was a Westley Middle School pupil. I remember playing football at St James.
ReplyDeleteThe problem with cross country at school is often because it is used as a threat or punishment. I don't remember any teaching staff joining in and so it isn't really taught which is a pity really as it is a great British tradition.
