Whilst everyone else went to Cineworld to watch Shrek I had a run from the car park nearby out to Gt Barton. I ran out of Bury via Looms Lane,Mustow St and Eastgate St and then along the Barton Road which merges into Orttewell Road before joining the A143 road.

A short distance along here there is a off road track which looks like it head towards the most extreme edge of the Moreton Hall development. I took this and for a while it is a pleasant dirt and sand track.

It eventually joins Green Lane and once I was close to Holy Innocents Church at Gt Barton I judged I must have run approximately 3 miles with 25 minutes on the watch.

I turned and followed the same route back to the car at Cineworld. However rather than run an even pace back I decided to do some intervals. I ran 6 x 30 seconds with a 1.30 minute recovery. Nothing too taxing but just gave the run some variety.
